About us

The “All Belgium Kendo Federation” is the central link between the two regional federations in Belgium, VKIJF & BKR , which are responsible for the practice of Kendo, Iaido, and Jodo (martial arts that use the Japanese sword or katana) and abroad. ABKF itself is a member of the European Kendo Federation (EKF) and the International Kendo Federation (IKF).

  • ABKF represents “Belgium” at all international events.
  • ABKF selects and sends the different, Kendo – Iaido – or Jodo – national teams to the official international competitions.
  • ABKF organizes the Belgian National Championships in accordance with both regional federations.
  • ABKF organizes several important seminars conducted by Japanese delegations or other important events.
