Iaido Seminar with high-level instructors from ZNKR and Europe, Seminar is OPEN to all grades (Dan and Kyu) and is followed by 1st to 5th ABKF gradings and 6th and 7th Dan EKF gradings.
This event is organized by the ABKF with the support of ZNKR and the authorization of EKF.

This week, we received a very sad news from The Netherlands. Our very first webmaster but also close friend, Rob van Acht, passed away. We would like to present to his wife and family our deepest condolences… Rest in peace Rob.
In December since 27 years in a row, ABKF organise its Winter event for Kendo, Iaido and Jodo. This year, almost 400 persons coming from 31 different countries showed up at (at least) one of the trainings organized from Tuesday to Sunday. During the weekend, also grading sessions took place where we welcomed around 130 candidates and we ended with the traditional Kendo competitions ( ladies, men individuals and the team of three). Specific for this tournament is the “Ippon Shobu” rule which asks for constant sharpness of attention if you want to win the tournament. This year we...

The 24th European Iaido Championships 2017 was this year organized in Torino, Italy and listed more than 212 competitors. The Belgian team did great in the individual taikai and won 5 medals with Habets Arno 1st dan Bronze, Vermeulen Karen 2nd dan Bronze, Vervack Valentin 4th dan Bronze, Kanto Yuki 6th dan Bronze and Simonini Michael 6th dan Silver.
On sunday the Belgian team composed of Pauwelyn Nicolas, Vervack Valentin, Daan Heungens and Kim Croes did a wonderful job by winning the Gold medal.

The definitive delegation from Japan for our annual Winter Seminar is knew from now. This delegation has been reinforced, for the Jodo-part, by European Jodo Kyoshi 8th dan René Van Amersfoort and are assisted by a huge number of 7th dan coming from Italy, The Netherlands, France and Belgium.
