At the 14th EJC in Falkenberg, Sweden, the Belgian Team (Marjan De Block, Karen Vermeulen & Valentin Vervack) has won the Team Event!
They got the gold medals and title of European Champion Jodo 2015.
In addition, Marjan De Block got the Silver Medal (Vice-European Champion) in the Yondan division while Karen Vermeulen and Valentin Vervack also got the Bronze medal in the Sandan division!

The Belgian team had been preparing this event since the last edition, three years ago in Novara, Italy. A delegation of five ladies & six men were selected out of the Belgian active kenshi. As the tournament is organized in Japan, the central coach, Hirakawa sensei picked up the position of manager which is the equivalent of the usual position of coach in our European system. Our friend Luc Defraeye passed 6th dan Iaido at the end of the last CIK Iaido seminar which was organized in Modena, Italy. Big congratulations !!
The 18th Belgian Iaido Championships 2015 took place this Sunday 10/05/15 in Sint-Niklaas. Belgian Iaido level is increasing every year and we were rewarded with thrilling matches and finals. Congratulations to all the participants and thank you for the great job of the organizing Dojo: Tamiza Kendo Kai.

Great results for the Belgian Team at the 21st European Iaido Championships 2014 in Helsinki !!!
Two days of seminar with 19 countries represented, everybody in the team very happy to meet all European Iaido friends and receive the teaching of 3 great sensei: Sakono sensei, Kusama sensei and Aoki sensei all Iaido 8th dan Hanshi.
Great competition results with 7 medals: 3x Gold, 1x Silver, 2x Bronze and 1x Fighting Spirit.
